Breast Cancer Pink October 2024

Theme: “No one should face breast cancer alone”

The Department of General Surgery organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Breast Cancer – Pink October 2024 on 28th October 2024 at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital.
The CME focused on increasing awareness regarding breast cancer, its epidemiology, diagnosis, management, prevention, and recent advances in treatment strategies.
Faculty members, postgraduate students, interns, and healthcare professionals actively participated in the programme. Eminent speakers from various departments shared their expertise and discussed contemporary approaches in breast cancer management.The sessions highlighted important topics such as surgical anatomy of the breast, symptomatology, radiodiagnosis, radiotherapy, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, recent surgical advancements, and awareness strategies for breast cancer prevention.
