Medical Education Unit

The Medical Education Unit (MEU) at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital functions as a dedicated academic unit focused on strengthening the quality of medical education. The unit supports effective teaching–learning processes and works towards aligning educational practices with national standards and global best practices, in accordance with the medical education unit medical college.

MEU Leadership and Faculty Requirements

• Officer-in-Charge: Dean / Principal
• Coordinator: Professor or Associate Professor trained in MCI/NMC-recognised MET programmes
• Minimum of 8 core faculty members across disciplines
• At least 50% of faculty to possess advanced qualifications such as Advanced Course in Medical Education, MHPE, M.Med, FAIMER Fellowship, or equivalent
